Programs

Our range of programs follows a pipeline approach in addressing Pacific education and equity issues beginning from Year 9 through to Year 12.

Year 9 -10: Pasifika Australia youth camp workshop
Year 11-12: Vaka Pasifika workshop
Year 12: Pasifika Principal’s Recommendation Scheme
All years: ACT schools outreach
Pacific Day (ACT and NSW students)

Although our programs are open to all students of Pacific heritage in the ACT and NSW, we welcome enquiries from interested schools and students in Victoria. Pasifika programs are an engaging way for Year 9-12 Pacific Islander students to get a taste of university life. The programs bring Pasifika students together and broaden their understanding of the pathways that are available through a university degree.

The Pasifika outreach programs focus on empowering young Pasifika students by developing their cultural, educational and leadership skills.  Participants engage with Pasifika staff and students on workshops that include Pacific studies, dance, rap, poetry, art and craft. Through these programs students are exposed to influential figureheads in the academic and Pacific community.
